On October 10, 2007 Bali welcomed a new and exciting attraction to its
already impressive list of world class destinations with the opening of the Bali
Safari & Marine Park.
Covering a 40-hectare site located less than an hour’s drive from Kuta &
Nusa Dua and all of Bali’s main hotel areas in, the Park is home to more than 400
animals representing 80 species.
Bali Safari & Marine Park, officially designated as a Wildlife Conservation
Park, is dedicated to preserving endangered species through education and
research programs carried out in coordination with leading zoological institutions
around the world.

Bali’s latest destination is a development of Taman Safari Indonesia, the
manager of two other leading Zoological Attractions located in Cisarua, Bogor and
Prigen, Surabaya. Bali Safari & Marine Park was designed with the latest techniques
and tailored to emphasize natural settings and habitats of the animals. Some of the
animals are the rare White Tigers, Sumatran Tigers, Hippopotamus, Lions, Zebras,
White Rhinoceros, Asian Elephants, Wildebeest, Camels, Bears, Java Leopards
and Primates - all free roaming within large natural settings.

•ANCIENT BALI TRACK
Once you leave the spacious parking area it’s time to immerse yourself in
the mystical Balinese past. A guide will explain about the carved basalt cliffs as
you are driven along the Ancient Bali Track in a Safari truck.
The carvings depict the stories of the Hindu and Buddhist Ramayana and
Tantri epics. This overview sets the tone for the rest of your visit to Bali Safari and
Marine Park.
•TERMINAL BALI
When you arrive in the Lobby Barong, you can see Java Leopards, Sinyulong
Crocodiles and various species of fish. Then, you can visit the Bali market which
is designed to create a traditional Balinese atmosphere. Here you can enjoy a
Balinese dancing class in the “Bale Banjar”, watch a Barong dance performance
or take a pony ride.
•UMA RESTAURANT
The main restaurant with a seating capacity for 800 guests, Uma (means
Paddy-field) Restaurant is an All-day Dining with a village theme serving
International, Asian and local specialties prepared freshly from our open-concept
counters.
On Sunday at noon you can also enjoy a Balinese dance performance in
ma restaurant.
